Chakra
Yoga is a wholistic practice of ancient techniques,
designed to stimulate the flow of energy vortexes known
as charkas in a process of rejuvenation and awakening.
It utilizes
all methods and techniques, from the postures of hatha
yoga, to the breathing practices of pranayama to mantra
and meditation in a systematic self study that leads
to an in depth understanding of "Mind over matter".
Mind is connected to the body through energy (via the
nervous system), so by learning how to work with these
energies, the body is brought to a state of peak health,
while mind is freed from its entrapment in the thinking
process. The result is a consciousness that is free
to embrace its spiritual nature,
a mind that is peaceful and clear, and a body that maintains
optimum health.
The chakra energies are explored and enhanced in Kundalini or Tantra Yoga.
Just as modern Western science divides
into many branches,
also within this Science of Yoga are the divisions into
different types.
