Pyramid Yoga Center,

Date it started: January 14, 2005
Welcome builders,
gardeners, students, teachers, and all friends of Mother
Earth! Come improve your building/life skills by constructing
an Earth Super Adobe Sound Temple at The Pyramid Yoga
Center in, Koh Pha Ngan, Thailand. Become part of a
Global Community service action to help promote sustainable
development and conscious living. The Earth Dome Sound
Temple is a place where people can practice yoga & meditation
as well as chant mystical mantras, dance, and play
music . Through these practices one can connect with
their spiritual essence through the use of sacred sound
and help raise the consciousness of our planet.
The Earth Dome Sound Temple is a vision of the Pyramid
Yoga School located on the island of Koh Pha Ngan,
Thailand.
The purpose of building such a Dome is to
create a Temple space to practice sacred sound,
harmonic overtoning, mantra chanting, mandala concentration,
visualization & meditation as once practiced by
the ancient civilizations.
“Sacred Sound has been used by many of
the earlier civilizations such as those of Egypt,
Greece, India, Tibet, China, other countries of Asia,
Europe, North & South American, all Indigenous
people and more. The practice of sound in meditational
Sound Chambers & Temples allows one to open up
the gateways to the cosmic universe, attune
to the divine energies of the higher realms and create
inner peace, alignment & healing for the
earth. “ – Marina Rae
Have you ever wanted to change the world around you?
You can do this by cultivating flexibility, clarity,
and focus of mind, body and soul. Start with an hour
morning Yoga class where you ground yourself and become
mentally and physically ready for the day.
After breakfast we will go into the instruction and
hands on skills of how to build a Earth Super Adobe
Dome ( Sound Temple). Learn the art of forming structural
arches, domes and curves made from rammed earth-bags.
Discover the theory and design of acoustical architecture.
At lunch relax or go for a swim. After lunch learn
the art of landscaping. Develop design skills that
promote sustainability, ecological productivity, and
how to assess environmental impact. Learn how to harness
clean electricity by wiring a solar power system under
the guidance of an experienced instructor.
We believe that the ‘hands on experience’ of
building the earth dome sound temple will give you
skillful building confidence. You can then go out and
build structures locally or internationally while helping
to spread affordable creative spaces for humanity.
